Hotel Zamora (St. Pete Beach, FL)

St. Pete Beach is a beautiful resort beach city on the west coast of Florida. St. Pete is just over 100 miles West of Orlando, making it the perfect beach destination for your Central Florida Stay! There are several beautiful hotels to stay at while visiting St. Pete and we chose The Hotel Zamora.

Hotel Zamora is an elegant Mediterranean style hotel. The property seems to be one of the newer ones in the area. Hotel Zamora featured a ton of amenities! Besides being across the street from the beach (unfortunately the chairs, and umbrellas are an extra charge). The hotel has a pool/ hot tub and a gym. The hotel also had several other things that are available to rent like boat slips, kayaks, bikes, paddle boards and others! Hotel Zamora is walking distance to the historic Don CeSar Hotel.

The hotel has a bit of a weird design upon arrival. You valet downstairs, then go upstairs via an elevator (or stairs, but if you have luggage it’s not great). Then you enter the lobby. One thing I noticed about the hotel is that there was no plastic barrier between us and the front desk agent. This was different since most businesses have put measures in place to protect staff and customers. Wearing masks were required but the staff did not have the mask over their noses.

The room was lovely once we got upstairs. Our room featured an air purification system. This is great since the hotel is pet friendly and previous guests might have brought along their furry friends. The room had a king size bed.

What made the room especially unique, in my opinion was the bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful.

A few other things that this hotel offered was a beautiful pool area downstairs. The pool and hot tub had adequate seating. The area offered views of the water next to the marina. The bar down by the pool had limited food service, I assume due to the virus. There was a restaurant inside the hotel as well. Not feeling eating at the hotel? There were several other restaurants within walking distance nearby.

Lastly, I would like to point out the beautiful rooftop area the hotel offered. The rooftop 360 degree rooftop bar had views of the gulf. The bar unfortunately was closed during our visit.

While the hotel was very nice, we were disappointed with St. Pete Beach. The beach was filled with seaweed. There was also not a lot going on at the beach across from our hotel. We had heard nothing but great things about St. Pete and felt it was a bit of a let down.

How was your St. Pete experience?
