Dallas, Texas is home to The Dallas Cowboys, some of the words best BBQ, several Fortune 500 companies, and The Lorenzo Hotel.
The Lorenzo Hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Dallas at 1011 Akard Street. Lorenzo is in the convention center district. The hotel is sleek and modern.
Upon entry to this hotel I felt it has almost the vibe of an art gallery. The property has over 600 pieces of artwork, including some on the exterior of the building.
The hotel has several amenities featuring:
- 24 hour front desk
- Laundry service
- Laundry facility
- Fitness center
- Concierge service
- & much more!
The staff was amazing here everyone was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean.
There are several different types of rooms to select from. Deluxe guest rooms, deluxe corner suites and theme suites. We decided to select the deluxe guest room. Two queen beds, an in-room safe, a mini fridge, 2 bottles of water daily, a 50″ TV, a desk and room service (for a fee) all comes with the deluxe guest room. The room came with a view of Downtown Dallas including the famous Reunion Tower. The room has a concrete ceiling, floor to ceiling windows, and murals. One thing that was unfortunate is that even though the view was beautiful, it was rather noisy being right next to Interstate-30.
My favorite thing about this hotel is the pool area. There was a large pool but unfortunately no hot tub. The pool was also not heated. This did not bode well for us being that it was late October whenever we visited the property. The decor around the pool was exquisite featuring a large chandelier over the pool. The pool area featured plenty of seating, a pool bar, a cigar bar area and 3 cabanas. One cabana was Isaac Newton, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Galileo Galilei. The pool area also had a bar, Relativity Bar, but was closed due to COVID-19.
As I mentioned earlier, the hotel also had two restaurants. The breakfast was restaurant Taco Enzo. Taco Enzo a container type restaurant features breakfast daily and dinner on the weekends. Moderately priced and located right in the parking lot of the hotel the food and service was exceptional. Even if you are not staying at the property it is something worth checking out anytime you are in Dallas! The restaurant inside the hotel, Lorenzo Kitchen looked amazing but we did not have a chance to eat there during our stay.
This hotel is one of the best boutique hotels in Downtown Dallas. If you’re ever visiting it is worth a visit.
What are some of your favorite things to do in Texas?
